Daytime alternating single-lane travel scheduled for Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge May 6-9

FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – An alternating single-lane travel restriction is scheduled to be in effect at the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday to Thursday, May 6-9, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The lane restriction (one of two bridge lanes closed) is needed to allow for federally required inspections of the structure by the Commission’s General Engineering Consulting firm, the commission said.

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution while inspections are taking place at the bridge, the commission said.

Any travel delays are expected to be minor due to low off-peak weekday traffic volumes, the commission said.
